Happy New Year

The calendar turns again. The inbox in my mobile and email accounts were flooded with new year wishes. The RSS and blog feeds I have subscribed also were full of new year resolutions, last year reviews and warm wishes for the 2008. Thank you very much for all those who took time out of the busy partying schedule to send me those wishes.

I only have personal wishes for the new year. I would stay away from the resolutions reviewing the success of my previous resolutions. Here's a list of things I want to do in this year:

• Write more frequently here at www.sudheer.net
• Add more content to www.lampcomputing.com
• Contribute more to free and open source software projects
• Learn new programming languages. My eyes are on Ruby on Rails, mastering C and C++, using PHP GTK, acquire ninja BASH scripting skills and more. I hope Sun Microsystems will release Java without any patent encumbrance. I will see if I can lay my hands on Java as well.
• Get more active in social networking site and Internet communities
• Help more and more people, especially friends, use free and open source software
• And on and on and on

Let's review this at the end of the year.
